The Kx Oilless Bushing Sleeve with flange size and made from POM (Polyoxymethylene) is a self-lubricating component designed for superior performance in a range of industrial applications. A small amount of lubricant is required for these bushings (All greases or oils designed for lubricating plain bearings). POM bushings have good sliding properties and are suitable for rotary and rocking movements. They have a low coefficient of friction, low sensitivity to edge loading and good damping properties. They can be post-machined. They are low maintenance due to the long relubrication intervals.
This material is designed for semi-dry friction working conditions with limited lubrication. Regularly arranged circular depressions are formed on the sliding surface, which are filled with sufficient lubricant once during assembly. The sliding material consists of polyacetal anchored in porous bronze on a sintered steel substrate.
The KX bimetallic strip has a 0.25 mm thick layer of polyacetal over the bronze interlayer so that it can be machined if required. It has good conformability, hence its resistance to edge pressures, but is not suitable for dry work.
The coefficient of friction is low when initially lubricated with grease and increases thereafter. When the sliding life of the KX bimetallic belt is not sufficient with the basic lubricant supply, it can be increased by repeated relubrication. KX bimetallic belt products have excellent sliding properties.
The operating temperature range is from -40 to +110°C, short term up to +130°C.
